LOS ANGELES – August 7, 2026 –  Partner Laura V. Farber was featured in a recent Law360 article about her experience and background as she enters her President-elect year for the American Bar Association [ABA]. 

After having been sworn in as President-elect at the ABA Conference earlier this week, Laura will work for one year alongside current ABA President Barbara J. Howard before assuming the presidency in August 2027, becoming the 151st President and the ABA's first Latina president as it celebrates its sesquicentennial. Laura has held multiple roles within the ABA for more than 30 years. She is the immediate past California State Delegate to the ABA House of Delegates, a member of the ABA Day Planning Committee, an advisory member of the Council for the ABA Fund for Justice and Education, a California Lawyers Association Delegate to the ABA House of Delegates. In 2024-25, she was chair of the American Bar Foundation Fellows, a global honorary society of lawyers, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars dedicated to the highest principles of the legal profession and to supporting the research of the ABF focusing on how law and society intersect. 

Recognized with numerous honors and accolades throughout her career, Laura's community engagement in Pasadena is noteworthy as well. She was the president of the Tournament of Roses Association for the 131st Rose Parade and 106th Rose Bowl Game in 2020. She chaired the Rose Bowl Management Committee from 2020-2025, having negotiated the Rose Bowl Game’s entry into the College Football Playoffs.
