Our History

1899Hahn & Hahn LLP is established by two brothers Edwin F. Hahn and Benjamin W. Hahn on September 1 in the emerging city of Pasadena, CA just 13 years old. -
1945The Pasadena community celebrates the end of World War II during which the city had been involved in war-related scientific research and high tech manufacturing. -
1969For the first time in history, American astronauts step onto the moon and return safely back home in a momentous lunar landing mission. -
1975The firm hires its first female attorney, Susan T. House, recent graduate of UCLA School of Law, who joined the firm’s Trust and Estates practice as a junior Associate and was later promoted to the first female Partner at the firm in 1979. -
1983A new communication model is developed from a single network to transmitting data between multiple networks. This technology is known today as the Internet. -
1985Hahn & Hahn is the first law firm ever to receive the State Bar of California's Pro Bono Service Award for outstanding contributions in the voluntary delivery of legal services in California. -
1999Hahn & Hahn celebrates its centennial anniversary. -
2014Former Hahn & Hahn Managing Partner and fourth President of the Tournament of Roses R. Scott Jenkins poses with legendary American sportscaster for the Dodgers Vin Scully who was selected as Grand Marshal for the Tournament of Roses. -
2017The firm receives a certification by the California Public Utilities Commission and the Supplier Clearinghouse as a majority Women & Minority Owned Business Enterprise. -
2019The Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association elects Partner Laura V. Farber as President, making her the fifth Hahn & Hahn Partner and first Latina to lead the organization. -
2020Hahn & Hahn elects its first female Managing Partner, Christianne F. Kerns. -
2020The World Health Organization declares COVID-19 a pandemic as businesses and establishments shut down worldwide. -
2022Hahn & Hahn earns the prestigious Women’s Business Enterprise National Council's national certification as a majority Women Owned Business. -
2024Hahn & Hahn commemorates 125 years of steadfast partnership with its community and clients.
